One UI 6.1.1 may be released sooner than expected

One UI 6.1.1 could land on older Galaxy devices sooner than expected after being introduced alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 next month.

Samsung took a lot longer to bring One UI 6.1 to eligible devices compared to One UI 5.1. The company hasn't made any announcements yet, but it seems that Galaxy AI is the reason why One UI 6.1 needs more time.

One UI 6.1.1 may not take as long as One UI 6.1

With One UI 6.1.1, Samsung will introduce new Galaxy AI features. Therefore, we think the new software will also be delayed like One UI 6.1. However, One UI 6.1.1 may not take much time.

Responding to complaints about several issues appearing on the Galaxy S23 FE after being updated to One UI 6.1, a moderator on Samsung's community forum said that the next One UI 6.1 upgrade will be “similar equivalent to One UI 6.1.1”.

Accordingly, it seems that the next update for the Galaxy S23 FE will bring One UI 6.1.1 features. If the Galaxy S23 FE will soon receive One UI 6.1.1, we see no reason not to believe that many other Galaxy products will also be updated soon.

In any case, the list of products eligible to receive One UI 6.1.1 is quite short. One UI x.x.1 updates often focus on improving the user experience on foldable phones and tablets.

In fact, with the exception of foldable phones and Galaxy tablets, any other products receiving One UI 6.1.1 features will continue to show up as running One UI 6.1.

Regarding new features, like One UI 6.1, One UI 6.1.1 will have a strong focus on AI. Samsung is said to be working on many new AI features for photos and movies as well as improving existing Galaxy AI features.
