The newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 come pre-installed with One UI version 5.1.1 based on Android 13. In addition to hardware upgrades, they also have advanced camera features. According to the latest sources, some of these photography features will be available for older Galaxy devices.
According to the Samsung user forum administrator, in charge of developing camera features, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 have better zooming when shooting with the rear camera. These improvements will also be available for the future Galaxy S23 series. The Korean company is working on a new update and will release it for older Galaxy devices soon.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 also allows users to select multiple photos in Capture View mode so that they can be shared and deleted at the same time. There are also other camera options in Pro and Pro Video modes. Samsung will also bring these features to the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Fold 2 through a new update.
Samsung's new folding devices also have a handy camera feature when scanning documents. You can choose to sharpen the text and remove unnecessary details like your finger from the document easily. For example, when you hold a document with one hand and the phone in the other hand to take a photo, it is more likely that the image will shake or contain your fingers. The Galaxy S23 series will also get this feature through the One UI 6.0 update based on Android 14.
More camera features will also be available for older Galaxy flagships
