Two weeks ago, a major leak revealed a bunch of changes in One UI 7.0. However, One UI 7.0 is in active development. So, there are likely to be more changes coming from Samsung.

Now, tipster @UniverseIce seems confident that Samsung will implement at least one of the UI changes suggested by the previous leak. In a recent post to X without a caption, @UniverseIce shared the following screenshot:

This appears to be part of the One UI 7.0 Quick Panel. This post could be a confirmation from @UniverseIce that One UI 7.0 will indeed have a new volume and brightness slider in the quick panel. Alongside the Mute button and Dark mode.

In One UI 6.1.1, the Quick Panel only had a brightness slider above the Eye Protection button for comfort and Dark mode.

With the volume slider, One UI 7.0 allows users to adjust the sound volume more easily without having to use the physical Volume keys. In other words, is Samsung trying to get users used to controlling the volume with the touch screen? Is the future of buttonless phones coming closer?

It is possible that this is Samsung's intention, and One UI 7.0 reflects the company's desire to make buttonless phones.
