One UI has often been criticized for not being as smooth as its competitors' custom interfaces. Samsung has promised that One UI 7.0 will deliver a smoother experience. A new video has surfaced online, proving that the company wasn't lying.
Leaker @UniverseIce posted a video showing One UI 7.0's app-switching animation. The video has since been taken down. Fortunately, X user @TechKhaled_ managed to save it.
The video shows One UI 7.0's app-switching animations are incredibly smooth. The software seems to respond instantly to taps and gestures when switching between apps. This has excited many.
However, we'll have to wait until the One UI 7.0 beta is released to confirm whether other animations are as smooth.
The video comes after OnePlus announced Oxygen OS 15. During the launch event, the company compared the app transition animations on Oxygen OS 15 and One UI 6, showing that Oxygen 15 offers a smoother experience. So Iโm looking forward to One UI 7.0 turning things around.
Of course, One UI 7.0 has a lot of other notable improvements. This custom interface based on Android 15 also has new native app icons and merges the Quick Panel and Notification shade. Other big additions are rumored to include notifications similar to Dynamic Island on the iPhone.
