Samsung has started rolling out its first monthly update of 2025, bringing the January security patch to a range of Galaxy devices.
What's new in Samsung's January 2025 update?
As usual, the monthly security patch focuses on improving system security and stability, rather than adding new features.
The January 2025 patch includes:
- Nearly 30 bug fixes, including 5 “Important” patches from Google.
- 22 Samsung-developed patches focused on improving features like Sound Picker, Samsung Messages, Notification Manager, and Bootloader.
One UI 7 is currently in beta testing on the Galaxy S24 series and is expected to be officially released in February 2025, shortly after the Galaxy S25 is launched.
