After releasing the August 2023 update for high-end Galaxy devices, Samsung has now rolled out the update to many of its mid-range and low-cost phones. Recently, Galaxy A52s, Galaxy A04s, Galaxy A54 5G, and Galaxy A34 5G have received this new update.
Samsung's August 2023 update for the Galaxy A52s is now available to users in Europe with the codename A528BXXS4EWGB. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A04s has also received a new update starting in Latin America with the codename A047MUBS4CWG1. The included changelog doesn't show any new features and improvements, they are merely security patches.
Previously, Samsung also released August security patches for Galaxy A54 5G and Galaxy A34 5G with codenames A546EXXS4AWG4 and A346MUBS3AWH1. The update also started in Latin America and doesn't bring new features and improvements either. All devices will receive the update in more regions of the world in the coming days.
Samsung said it has patched 86 security holes on Galaxy devices with the August 2023 update. At least three of them are critical security flaws that allow the remote distribution of malicious code without permission. Most of the remaining patches are classified by Google and Samsung as "high severity" bugs.
