On February 17, Google released the Android 15 developer preview of the next version of its operating system. And it wasn't until July that the company finished testing it. It will also take Samsung a few more months to combine it with its next version of One UI (One UI 7). So Galaxy device users will have to wait quite a while before they can experience the new software.

The official list of Galaxy devices eligible for the latest update won't be announced until Android 15 and One UI 7 have been released on at least one Galaxy smartphone. However, we'll rely on our experience with previous Android and One UI updates to come up with an unofficial list.

The devices on the list are evaluated based on several factors. First, all products launched with Android 13 will get version 15, as Samsung provides at least two major OS upgrades to most Android phones and tablets.

High-end and mid-range products that are eligible for 4 years of updates will also get Android 15, as they all run Android 11 or higher. Naturally, all Galaxy phones and tablets launched in 2024 will also get the next version of the OS.

The list above isn’t final, and we’ll have to wait until at least August or September for the official release if Samsung sticks to its usual schedule for Android and One UI updates. We’ll keep you updated as new information becomes available, so stay tuned to make sure you don’t miss any news.
