After the Galaxy A54, Samsung has now started releasing official One UI 6.0 for its two latest folding screen phones.
Samsung's Android 14-based One UI 6.0 rollout seems to be getting smoother since it was released for the Galaxy S23 series quite a while ago. The company not only updates new software for flagship models but also mid-range devices like the Galaxy A54. Now, this update has also started rolling out for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Samsung's two latest foldable phones are now upgradeable to One UI 6.0 in the US, starting with Verizon's locked version. The update for this carrier's Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 is codenamed F946USQU1BWK9 and F731USQS1AWJ7, respectively, with a download capacity of more than 3GB. Users can download it by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and install.
According to Verizon's changelog, One UI 6.0 for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 brings many big changes including new Quick Settings design, Bixby Text Call, upgrades in Phone app Photos and Gallery as well as many other improvements. It also comes with Samsung's November 2023 security patch.
It's unclear when the update will be available for other carriers' Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, as well as their unlocked versions. Samsung usually doesn't keep users waiting long, so if you own these devices, be prepared because One UI 6.0 could arrive at any time.
