After releasing One UI 6.1.1 earlier this month to several premium Galaxy phones, Samsung is now rolling out the September 2024 security update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. The update is now rolling out to most markets, including Africa, Asia, Europe, and the United States.
September 2024 security update for Galaxy Z Flip 5 now rolling out to multiple countries
The new software update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has baseband version F731BXXS3DXI3 and has already rolled out to several countries in Africa, Asia, and Europe.
In the United States, both unlocked and unlocked variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 can be updated. The update for the unlocked variant has baseband version F731USQS4DXI3 and is available for Metro PCS and T-Mobile. Meanwhile, the update for the unlocked variant has the baseband version F731U1UES4DXI3 and is available nationwide.
67 security vulnerabilities have been patched, but the update does not bring any improvements or new features.
