Leaks about the Galaxy Watch 7 series appear increasingly dense, mainly about devices that may be in the product line. A new rumor confirms a previous report, saying Samsung could equip at least one of the Galaxy Watch 7 models with a processor manufactured on its 3nm process.
It looks like the Galaxy Watch 7 series has a total of three products, each with its own price point and feature set. We expect to see the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 7 Pro, and another mystery product, possibly the Galaxy Watch 7 FE or something similar.
Previous rumors said that at least one of the products would be equipped with a 3nm processor. In other words, Samsung's first 3nm processor will land on the Galaxy Watch line. A recent report from the Korean Economic Daily supports this rumor, even detailing the name of the processor Samsung will use.
Accordingly, Samsung will name its first 3nm processor Exynos W1000, breaking the current naming rule it is using for the Galaxy Watch line. The process that Samsung uses is a second-generation architecture that has better power-saving capabilities.
The new report says that the new Exynos W1000 has 20% more performance and is more energy efficient. This information does not match previous findings. Accordingly, the new processor is said to have increased performance by 30% and saved electricity by more than 50%.
Other information about the configuration of the Galaxy Watch 7 is still scarce. In addition, it is still unclear whether Samsung will equip all three models with a new 3nm processor or just the Galaxy Watch 7 Pro. The cheapest model probably uses something like the Exynos W940.
