Samsung is rolling out the latest monthly update for the Galaxy S24 series. Based on the baseband version, the June 2024 update only improves security for Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. More specifically, the camera improvements that many expected were completely absent.

Galaxy S24 series devices currently available in the US will be available first. The update is rolling out to Galaxy S24 series owners on Verizon. The baseband version is S92xUSQS2AXE4. Since this is just a pure security patch, there is a high possibility that it will land in other markets soon.

The June 2024 security patch fixes 59 security vulnerabilities found on Galaxy devices. 37 of them come from Google and affect all Android devices. Meanwhile, the 22 patches only apply to Galaxy phones and tablets.

Samsung has taken longer than usual to release new security patches to Galaxy devices. The reason may be that the company was busy bringing One UI 6.1 to more devices last month. Besides, One UI 6.1.1 will be released next month. Therefore, it may take some more time before Samsung returns to its previous release schedule.
