Samsung has just released a new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Currently, the update is only available for download from carrier-locked options in the United States.

Galaxy S20 FE 5G US carrier-locked options have received the January 2025 security update

The update is available for devices on AT&T and Dish Wireless. The Galaxy S20 FE 5G last received a software update four months ago.

The update has baseband version G781USQSKHXL2 and includes the January 2025 security patches, which fix several vulnerabilities that have been found. There are no new features or performance improvements.

If you own a Galaxy S20 FE 5G and live in the US, you can check to see if the update has arrived for your device by navigating to Settings → Software update → Download and install.
