Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be launched within two months. So far, there have been a lot of rumors and leaks surrounding the device. However, one of the things that attracts public opinion the most is information about an affordable Galaxy Z Fold 6 model. This product may not be released next July but later this year. Unfortunately, new sources say Samsung has canceled these plans.

The cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6 model may have been dropped for lack of differentiation

A new report from THEELEC says Samsung is now reconsidering its plans for a more affordable Galaxy Z Fold 6 model. Sources revealed some of the reasons behind the decision to cancel. First, the product was not very differentiated and the company was not sure whether the market would be interested in low-cost alternatives. The thickness of the product is not thinner than that of competitors from China. Either way, we probably won't see a cheap Galaxy Z Fold 6 model released in the near future.

The source further discussed that Samsung only wants to release the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 later this year. In other words, the low-cost Galaxy Z Flip model may also have been canceled. However, the source did not say so frankly. However, Samsung still plans to launch other products in the Galaxy FE series later this year.

A famous tipster has also confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 may have been canceled. If multiple sources confirm the same thing, there's a high chance we won't see any cheap Galaxy Z Fold 6 models later this year.

As Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 this coming July, there will be more information about the device in the coming weeks. Of course, it will still take until the end of the year for the new Galaxy FE series to be launched, including the Galaxy S24 FE. We will be sure to report as soon as we have any new information.
