Bad news! It looks like Samsung fans will have to wait a long time to experience One UI 7.0. Samsung announced at its 2024 developer conference that the stable version of One UI 7.0 will be released next year alongside the Galaxy S25 series. Of course, the One UI 7.0 beta will still be released to users this year.
The One UI 7.0 beta will be released this year, but the stable version will be released in 2025
While Samsung did not give a reason why One UI 7.0 – which is based on Android 15 – will not be released this year, it seems that the reason is because the user interface will be completely refreshed alongside One UI 7.0. The company’s plan to call all of its software One UI could also be a factor.
Samsung says One UI 7.0 offers a new user experience focused on simplicity and “emotional” design. Accordingly, One UI 7.0 has three core design elements:
- Simple: Aim for intentional simplicity in the user interface.
- Impactful: Create a distinctive impression for One UI.
- Emotional: Create UI elements – like the new blur tool – that evoke positive emotions from users.
While there isn’t much information out there, One UI 7.0 looks like one of the biggest updates to a Galaxy device in years. So I’m eager to get my hands on the new software. Luckily, the One UI Beta Program is starting soon.
