Samsung has been incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) into the Galaxy A series since 2024 with the Circle to Search feature. However, the Galaxy’s advanced AI features are currently limited to flagships. This could soon change as Samsung expands its AI application to mid-range devices in the Galaxy A series.
Samsung has recently filed several trademarks related to the term “Awesome Intelligence” in Europe, the US, and South Korea. Although the applications do not directly mention the Galaxy A series, Samsung has long been associated with the term “Awesome” in its promotional campaigns for the product line, such as “Awesome Display,” “Awesome Camera,” and “Awesome for Everyone.”
Notably, the abbreviation for “Awesome Intelligence” is “AI,” which suggests that Samsung may be adding more advanced AI features to the Galaxy A series in the near future.
The upcoming mid-range Galaxy A56 is said to be a prime candidate to introduce Awesome Intelligence. The device will be powered by the Exynos 1580, a processor that is capable of supporting more AI features than previous Galaxy A series phones. These features could include text summarization, AI-powered smart notifications, and a number of other features built into One UI 7 and the Galaxy S25 series.
The Galaxy A56 is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025. By then, we will have a better idea of whether this device really marks a big step forward in Samsung's AI adoption across its mid-range lineup.
