Samsung is now providing the first software update for the newly launched Galaxy A55. It already has the February 2024 security patch available and now the company is preparing to release the March update for this device.

Samsung will likely release the update in India first with software version A556EXXS1AXC1. It weighs under 210MB and will only include the March 2024 security patch.

The changelog mentions “New and/or enhanced features” and “Further performance improvements.” But these are all general changelogs commonly found in Samsung software updates and do not mean they will exist in this security update.

Galaxy A55 ships with One UI 6.1 pre-installed. So it won't get any new software features anytime soon. Although running on the latest One UI interface similar to the S24 series, the A55 does not have any Galaxy AI tools. The reason is that the chipset of mid-range phones cannot handle Samsung's Advanced Intelligence suite.

If you own a Galaxy A55, you can check and download this latest software update by going to Settings app > Software Update > Download and install.
