Samsung just released the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy A52. Now it's the turn of the Galaxy A53.

Galaxy A53 in Europe gets October 2024 security update

The Galaxy A53 is now receiving a new software update. The update has the baseband version A536BXXSCEXIA and includes the October 2024 security patches – which patch over 40 security vulnerabilities found in the previous software version, but otherwise don't bring any new features.

The update is now available for download in European countries and will be released in other regions soon. If you own a Galaxy A53 and live in Europe, you can check if the update has reached your device by navigating to the Settings app → Software update → Download and install.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A53 in early 2022 with Android 12. It was updated to Android 13 in late 2022 and Android 14 in late 2023. It is expected that the Galaxy A53 will be updated to Android 15 in the first half of next year.
