The Galaxy A52s – Samsung’s most powerful mid-range phone before the Galaxy A55 stole the crown – is getting the latest security update in select markets. The September 2024 update is rolling out to the Galaxy A52s in Europe and comes with the baseband version A528BXXS9GXH2.
The Galaxy A52s is yet to receive One UI 6.1.1. This update only includes recently discovered security patches and improves the stability and reliability of the device. The Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A52 5G could also receive the September security update later this week.
It’s unclear whether Samsung plans to bring One UI 6.1.1 to the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, Galaxy A52s, or any other mid-range phones. Since Galaxy AI doesn't support mid-range Galaxy phones, it's likely that they'll get a straight software upgrade to One UI 7.0 based on Android 15.
Unfortunately, none of the Galaxy A52 models are eligible for One UI 7.0. So I hope Samsung releases One UI 6.1.1 to them as a parting gift before only providing security patches to them.
Once the update lands in Vietnam, you can manually download it to your Galaxy A52s by navigating to Settings → Software update → Download and install.
