The latest version of Auto-Block for One UI 6.1.1 introduced a few new features. However, Samsung wants to improve the feature even further. The changelog for Auto-Block version 1.1.00.28 mentions a few additional security features that will be enabled when the device is upgraded to One UI 7.0.
Auto-Block version 1.1.00.28 adds a few more layers of security to Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1.1 through the Highly Restricted mode. The feature, which was introduced this summer, adds a few more layers of security, such as preventing device admin apps and work profiles from being activated while Highly Restricted mode is enabled.
Additionally, the Auto-Block 1.1.00.28 changelog also reveals that the Restricted Mode will get three more features on One UI 7.0:
- Block USB connections;
- Block 2G networks;
- Block automatic reconnection to unsafe Wi-Fi networks.
It's puzzling that the first feature already exists, but the latter two don't. This could be a bug on Samsung's part, or there could be more options for blocking USB connections on One UI 7.0.
Samsung is expected to roll out One UI 7.0 early next year, with the One UI Beta Program possibly starting this month.
