The latest version of One UI launched with the Galaxy S24 series has been extremely anticipated by users of old Galaxy phones because of many interesting improvements. After days of waiting, Samsung is finally set to release the One UI 6.1 software update on eligible devices. According to a report from Samsung Vietnam (via @chunvan8888), it is expected to start appearing on the Galaxy S23 series on March 28.

While we previously had information about a One UI 6.1 release in March 2024, no eligible devices have received the update so far. Hopefully, in the second half of the month, it will be released.

Devices that will receive One UI 6.1 later this month include the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series. Meanwhile, other compatible devices will likely have to wait until May or June.

For mid-range phones launched in 2023, the release of One UI 6.1 will be even later. Samsung may even skip One UI 6.1 for some devices and instead update them directly to One UI 7.0 later this year.

In the last days of March, users using the above devices need to monitor software updates because it can be released at any time. Samsung is expected to widely roll out One UI 6.1 in April across its devices.
