Samsung said its AI model only supports English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

Samsung is trying to enter the AI market with the Galaxy S24 series with Galaxy AI. Galaxy S24 will be marketed as an AI phone line. Galaxy AI is expected to be powered by Gauss – Samsung's generative AI model announced a few days ago at Samsung's AI Forum 2023 event.

Also here, Samsung revealed that Gauss will support English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. Additionally, AI features on the Galaxy S24 series may also support these languages.

Unfortunately, this is a rather small list. Google Assistant works with more languages, including Vietnamese. Although it lags behind Google Assistant, Bixby still supports more languages than Gauss at the moment.

It's unclear whether Samsung plans to add more languages supported by Gauss and Galaxy AI in the near future. Bixby has been around since 2017. However, at the moment, it only supports nine languages. Therefore, I hope Samsung will put more effort into Gauss, especially since they want to make AI a defining feature of the Galaxy line in the future.

Gauss – like Bixby – will execute commands on the device to maintain user privacy. On the Galaxy S24 series, it will provide functions such as automatic audio and text translation for calls.

In addition, the Galaxy S24 series may also have other AI feature interference. However, the information we currently have is quite scarce. Therefore, we have to wait more to know what miracles Galaxy AI and Gauss will bring to the Galaxy S24 series.
