Galaxy S20 FE receives February 2024 update in North America and South America

The new security update for the Galaxy S20 FE is available in all Latin American countries with firmware version G780GXXS8EXA6. The Galaxy S20 FE 5G version is also receiving a new security update and it has appeared on the carrier-locked variant of the phone in the US. It has firmware version G781USQSEHXA1. Both variants of the phone now have access to the February 2024 security patch in the regions mentioned above. It supports fixing 72 security vulnerabilities discovered in previous software versions.

This new update will only fix security vulnerabilities and does not provide any new features or performance improvements. If you're using a Galaxy S20 FE in Latin America or a Galaxy S20 FE 5G in the US, you can check for this software update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Galaxy S20 FE was launched in 2020 and runs Android 10 right out of the box. The device is updated to Android 11 at the end of 2020, to Android 12 at the end of 2021, and to Android 13 at the end of 2022. However, it will not receive the Android 14 version that has appeared on the new Galaxy phones.
