Samsung has been working on a number of wireless features for the S Pen over the years, including Air gestures. Unfortunately, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s S Pen lacks them due to the lack of Bluetooth. However, the “S Pen Missing Alert” feature is still present on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
This is because it doesn’t require Bluetooth to work. Basically, the Galaxy S25 Ultra (as well as its predecessors) knows whether the S Pen is in the slot or not. If the S Pen is out and you scroll through pages with the screen off, you’ll get a notification that you’ve left the S Pen behind.
You can toggle this feature on and off by navigating to Settings → Advanced features → S Pen → Other S Pen settings. I don’t see why you’d want to disable this feature unless you don’t want to use the S Pen and leave the slot empty.
If you don't use the S Pen's wireless features often, it's still a good accessory for writing and drawing thanks to its high-precision 0.7mm tip. In addition, the S Pen can distinguish up to 4096 different pressure levels.
In addition, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is still a great phone that you should consider pre-ordering now to receive many attractive offers.
