One UI 6.1 was released at the same time as the high-end Galaxy S24 phone line. Unlike previous .1 versions, this update brings some exciting features. They are mostly powered by advanced artificial intelligence and that is why One UI 6.1 is so special.
Besides AI-powered features, One UI 6.1 also has some interesting non-AI features like Always on Display support. However, not all of them are released on older Galaxy devices via software updates.
In fact, with the exception of the high-end 2023 devices (Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Tab S9), there is still no information on which features will be released on the devices. Eligible to receive One UI 6.1 software update. However, what users are most looking forward to right now is when the new UI is released on eligible phones and tablets.
One UI 6.1 is expected to roll out from early March and will take a few months to reach everyone
On February 24, Samsung announced that they will start releasing the One UI 6.1 update around March for high-end 2023 products. If evaluated based on the first update of the Galaxy S24 series, we can guess that the rollout on those devices could extend into April or even May in some markets.
While I don't know how long it will take for One UI 6.1 to be available on eligible devices, I'm guessing it will last around the first six months of 2024. This is a pretty safe guess because Samsung doesn't usually take a lot of time. time to release One UI updates, especially smaller updates that don't come with new versions of Android.
