It seems that as the launch date approaches, leaked information about the Galaxy Z Flip6 appears with increasing frequency on websites.
Previous rumors said Samsung's next vertical folding screen phone will have a rated battery capacity of about 3,887 mAh, like the base Galaxy S24 model. However, new information emerged this week through several regulatory certifications that Samsung recently obtained, and the reality may be a little different.
Specifically, the Galaxy Z Flip6 was revealed to come with a two-cell battery and earlier this year, the Korean giant tested 1,097 mAh and 2,887 mAh batteries for the product. That would give a combined rated capacity of 3,880 mAh and a theoretical battery level of 4,000 mAh.
However, according to the new leak, the successor model of the Z Flip5 has a 1,000 mAh and 2,790 mAh battery, creating a total capacity of 3,790 mAh. It is known that Samsung's current vertical folding screen phone model has a rated battery of 3,591 mAh, so the Flip6's battery upgrade will still be quite a large amount (~200 mAh).
As for charging, it will reach a maximum capacity of 25W like the existing Galaxy Z Flip models. This phone is expected to use the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset when it launches in early July. Let's wait and see!
