The Galaxy S25+ will be announced alongside the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra in the coming months. According to new renders from @OnLeaks, the Galaxy S25+ will follow the design language of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. As a result, the device will have flat edges with lenses that protrude from the back independently. This change has received mixed reviews from the public and fans.

Since the new renders are based on CAD, some small details are missing, such as the SIM card tray. Rest assured that the Galaxy S25+ will definitely still have the SIM card tray along with many other small details.

The Galaxy S25+ will be thinner but the battery capacity will not change

Recently, it has been reported that the Galaxy S25+ will have a 4900mAh battery capacity like its predecessor. As a result, battery life may not improve unless Samsung finds a way to further optimize the power efficiency of the processor and display.

Rumors and leaks about the Galaxy S25+ processor are quite mixed. It is possible that Samsung will continue to use Snapdragon or Exynos depending on the market, as they did with the Galaxy S24+. However, it is also possible that the Galaxy S24+ will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 for Galaxy worldwide. Regardless, the product will have 12GB of memory along with a minimum of 128GB of storage.

The Galaxy S25 Plus is also rumored to continue with a 6.7” (6.65” to be exact) display with an LTPO panel that can change the refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz. The Galaxy S25+ measures 158.4mm × 75.7mm × 7.3mm, which is slightly different from the Galaxy S24+. That makes the Galaxy S25+ 0.4mm thinner than its predecessor.

As for the release date, we expect the Galaxy S25+ to launch alongside the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra in mid-January next year. We don’t think they’ll be announced before January 10, which is when CES ends.

Samsung typically likes to hold its own events outside of CES to get as much attention as possible. So we could see the Galaxy S25 series launch the week of January 13, which is the same as the Galaxy S24 series launch date last year – January 17, 2024. After that, it would take Samsung about a week or two to ship the devices to buyers.
