The September 2024 security update has now been released for the Galaxy A53 in Asian and European countries and has the baseband version A536EXXSBEXI1. A total of 67 security vulnerabilities have been patched.

The Galaxy A53 was announced two years ago with Android 12. It was updated to Android 13 in late 2022 and Android 14 in late 2023. The Galaxy A53 is expected to get Android 15 (One UI 7.0) in the next few months. Next year, it will receive its last major OS update: Android 16.
