Earlier this year, a source from Gizmochina discovered the Samsung W24 and W24 Flip duo on the 3C certification agency. Sources then speculated that these two phones would launch in October this year.

In the latest development, Samsung has just confirmed that they will hold an event on September 15 to launch the next generation of Samsung W series phones.

According to a recent post on Weibo, Samsung Galaxy has officially confirmed that the Samsung W series will be announced on September 15. For those who don't know, Samsung W24 and W24 Flip are said to be rebranded versions of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5, respectively. This W series will likely have similar specifications to the Galaxy Z 2023 series, with the differences mainly coming from color variations.

To recall, the Galaxy Z Fold5 launched a 7.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1,812 x 2,176 pixels. Inside, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core processor with 12GB RAM, with three storage options of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The device operates on Android 13 operating system and comes with a 4,400mAh battery.

Finally, the Fold5 comes with a triple rear camera setup with a resolution of 50MP (wide) + 10MP (telephoto) + 12MP (ultra-wide). On the front, it is equipped with a 4MP camera under the screen and another 10MP selfie camera located in the punch hole of the secondary screen.
