Samsung has just released a new software update for the Galaxy A55, the flagship phone in the Galaxy A series since last year. This update includes the January 2025 security patch, which enhances device protection against the latest security threats. The update fixes many security vulnerabilities, providing a safer experience for users.
The update is now rolling out to Galaxy A55 versions in many regions such as Asia, Mexico, Panama, the Middle East, and other markets. The new software version comes with version number A556EXXS6AYA5, which is applicable to models with model number SM-A556E.
To check and install the update, users can access Settings, then select Software update and tap Download & install. If you have received a notification from Samsung, you can tap it directly to update it quickly.
In addition, the One UI 7.0 version based on Android 15 has been deployed by Samsung for the Galaxy S25 series. This update is also expected to be released soon for eligible devices in the near future, including the Galaxy A55.
