Specifically, the October 2024 security update fixes 30 vulnerabilities that exist in the Android operating system and 12 vulnerabilities that exist only on Galaxy devices. Details of Samsung's October 2024 security update

Two of the 30 vulnerabilities discovered in the Android operating system are marked as critical because they can cause memory corruption. The remaining vulnerabilities are marked as high risk. You can find more information about them on Google's website.

The October security update also includes 12 patches for vulnerabilities found in Galaxy devices. As usual, the patches prevent attackers from gaining unauthorized access to devices and user data. The same applies to the patch provided by Samsung's semiconductor team.

The October 2024 security update will be released to many Galaxy devices this month. It is likely that high-end models will receive it first. Additionally, some high-end devices may be updated to One UI 6.1.1, which comes with the latest security patches.
