Samsung seems to want to enter the sports shoe market. There are no Galaxy-branded shoes yet! Instead, the company has launched an extremely limited and unique pair of shoes that control your Galaxy phone as you move.

Samsung has developed the Shortcut Sneaker in collaboration with Cheil Benelux, Elitac Wearables, Brut Amsterdam, and shoe designer Roel van Hoff. Samsung calls the product the “shoe of the future” for a reason.

Only nine pairs of these limited edition sneakers exist

With certain foot movements, you can control your Galaxy phone with Shortcut Sneaker. Different movements correspond to different actions on the phone. For example, you can moonwalk with your shoes on to call your mom and do a tap dance to play music on your phone.

It's all thanks to the motion sensor located inside the shoes. You can perform up to five different actions with five different movements.

You won't be able to find the product on Samsung's online store or retailers. Samsung has developed the Shortcut Sneaker exclusively for members of Samsung Members. Extremely limited product with only six pairs available. Roel van Hoff created the shoe's unique design by drawing inspiration from the galaxy with materials that look like meteorites and supernovas.

The company will give away products to the luckiest Samsung Members in the Netherlands. If you're here, you can participate in the program through the app from today until July 9, 2024. Samsung will announce the monthly winners in the second week of July.
