Recently, Samsung released the One UI 6.1 update for a number of Galaxy phone and tablet devices. In this update, the company has made many improvements and introduced a series of new AI features. One of them is the Creative Edit tool, which helps users with advanced image editing. Therefore, below are some features that you can use with this tool.
You first need to enable the Generative Edit tool before you can use AI-powered image editing features on your Galaxy device. To activate this tool, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Open the Settings application and navigate to the Advanced Features section.
- Step 2: Select Advanced Intelligence, scroll down, and click Photo Editor.
- Step 3: Turn on the toggle and press OK.
Erase everything from the image
You can remove any object in your image using Generative Edit on Galaxy phones and tablets. Accordingly, you can remove unrelated people from the photo you took. You can also remove unwanted objects such as rocks or trash. To do that, follow the steps below:
- Step 1: Open an existing image in your Gallery app and tap the Edit icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Step 2: Use your finger to move around the person or object you want to delete in the photo.
- Step 3: Now press and hold until the Undo and Delete options appear on the screen.
- Step 4: Tap the Delete icon and tap the Generate button at the bottom of the screen.
- Step 5: After a few seconds, the phone will display the edited image. You can press the Done button if you are satisfied. If not, you can go back and continue editing.
Re-adjust the shooting angle
When you're in a hurry or distracted, you often tend to take photos with bad angles. These images are often not well aligned horizontally or vertically. If you change the angle of those images, you may have to crop a lot. However, with Creative Editing, you can re-align the shot without losing most of the image. To do this, follow the steps below:
- Step 1: Open the Gallery app and navigate to the image you want to edit.
- Step 2: Click the Edit button below the image and then click the blue Generative Edit button in the lower-left corner of the screen.
- Step 3: Now, adjust the slider at the bottom to achieve the desired alignment angle. Now, click Generate.
- Step 4: The edited image will appear after a few seconds. If you are satisfied with the new alignment angle, click the Done button, if not, you can go back and continue editing.
Move objects from one image to another
If you want to move any person or object from one image to another, follow the steps below:
- Step 1: Open the Gallery app and navigate to the image where you want to move a person or object.
- Step 2: Press and hold the person or object you want to move. At this point, a menu will appear, and click on the Copy option in that menu.
- Step 3: Next, open the image you want to move the object to.
- Step 4: Press and hold your finger anywhere on the image. Then, tap the new Paste option that appears and move and resize the newly pasted object to your liking.
- Step 5: Finally, you can choose: Save and Save as Copy. If you want to keep the original and edited copies of the image, select the Save as Copy option in the three-dot menu. If you just want to keep the edited image, tap Save.
