Samsung is adding more devices to its Self-Repair program, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and the Galaxy S23 series.

Samsung is adding many new devices to its self-repair program. In particular, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are the first folding-screen phone models in the program.

In a post, Samsung announced its Self-Repair program will be expanding to many new devices. The list includes two folding-screen phone models. Repair instructions and components for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be released to users soon.

Samsung has previously supported users with self-repair for phones, tablets, and laptops. However, the complexity of foldable phones has prevented them from providing self-repair services.

A few months ago, Google supported users to repair Pixel Fold themselves. However, the product's components are very expensive. The main screen alone costs $900.

The new Galaxy devices participating in the Self-Repair program are:

  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy S23
  • Galaxy S23+
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy S23 FE
  • Galaxy A05s
  • Galaxy Tab S9
  • Galaxy Tab S9+
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab S9 FE
  • Galaxy Tab S9 FE+
  • Galaxy Tab A9
  • Galaxy Tab A9+
  • Galaxy Book 2 Pro (15โ€)
  • Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 (15โ€)

Additionally, Samsung is also expanding its Self-Repair program to new countries. Korean users and more than 30 European countries, including Denmark, Greece, Portugal, and Hungary, will soon be able to experience the service.

Notably, the Self-Repair program for new products has not yet arrived in the United States. Their components have not yet appeared at Samsung's retail partner: iFixit.
