Samsung has been testing One UI Watch 6 for the Galaxy Watch series for months. However, the stable version is not yet ready for release.
Earlier this month, the company released the sixth beta of One UI Watch 6. So, we were hoping that the stable version would be released soon. Unfortunately, it seems that this prediction was wrong.
One UI Watch 6 stable version release date may be delayed
When a Galaxy Watch user asked the moderators of the Samsung Community forum about the One UI Watch 6 release date, they said that some bugs have not been fixed yet, so the new software release date has not been set.
However, they revealed that Samsung is aiming to release the stable version of One UI Watch 6 around October or November, which is a month or two later than the expected time frame.
The moderator apologized for the delay, explaining that Samsung wants the stable version to have as few bugs as possible. Accordingly, Samsung monitors all reported bugs and tries to fix them to make the software more stable. The update will be rolled out to the following watch models:
- Galaxy Watch 4
- Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
- Galaxy Watch 5
- Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch 6
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic
Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra are the first watches in the world to run One UI Watch 6 based on Wear OS 5. New features include the ability to suggest health tips thanks to Galaxy AI, improved sleep tracking, Energy Score, and more customizable Modes and Schedules. There are also new fonts, new charging animations, and a double-pinch gesture.
The new software also includes improved Samsung Find and Weather apps, custom Workout Modes, and the ability to Measure Strength Threshold. Finally, several tiles have been redesigned, including those for the alarm, calculator, battery, sleep, weather, and fitness.
