Samsung has officially introduced the call recording feature in the One UI 7.0 Beta update for the Galaxy S24 series in the United States. This is a new step in integrating AI technology to meet the needs of users. Although not directly called a call recording feature, Samsung has introduced Call Transcripts, allowing users to record voice calls in a simple and effective way.

This feature notifies both the caller and the recipient that the call is being recorded. Once completed, the system will provide both the audio file and the text transcript automatically generated by AI. Combined with many utilities, especially with the ability to support more than 20 languages, this feature is suitable for multinational users. Call Transcripts not only helps users store important content but also creates convenience in reviewing information.

Compared to competitors, Samsung seems to be perfecting this feature to not only catch up but also differentiate. Google has rolled out a similar feature on the Pixel 9 and some older models, while Apple has brought it to the iPhone via the iOS 18 update. However, Call Transcripts in One UI 7 is highly appreciated for its powerful AI integration, bringing superior accuracy and flexibility.

Although this feature is currently only available in beta, it is likely that Samsung will keep it in the official update of One UI 7.0, expected to launch in the first quarter of 2024.
