In a press release highlighting the camera upgrades of the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung said the shutter speed of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is 30% faster. This is a significant increase. Additionally, shutter lag is reduced on all cameras, not just the main camera.

The press release also talks about other improvements to the camera, such as a wider angle of optical image stabilization on the 5x telephoto lens and the ability to capture 24MP photos using the Expert RAW app. AI-powered photo and movie editing tools โ€“ which are accelerated by the more powerful neural processing unit (NPU) of the Exynos 2400 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 โ€“ are also featured.
