One UI 6.1.1 was just announced not long ago with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, now all attention is focused on One UI 7.0. This is a major update based on Android 15, promising to bring many design improvements and add new features. A reputable source recently revealed that the test version of One UI 7.0 will be released soon.
According to leaker Ice Universe, Samsung is likely to start rolling out One UI 7.0 Beta in late July or early August 2024. Previously, the source also revealed that One UI 7.0 will bring extreme animations. smooth, similar to iOS and ColorOS. Some other leaks also say Samsung's next major update will bring new icons and an improved Quick Panel layout.
Not only that, One UI 7.0 is also said to have an improved camera app with the quick control bar moved down, closer to the mode switcher. Some other features we can expect in this update are the App Lock feature and the vertical app drawer (via Good Lock).
If nothing changes, Galaxy S24 will be the first product line to receive One UI 7.0 Beta immediately after the update is announced, followed by Galaxy S23, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and some older high-end phones. After some testing, the stable version of One UI 7.0 could be released in October or November.
In addition to high-end devices, Samsung will also update One UI 7.0 for mid-range and budget phones and eligible Galaxy tablets this year.
