According to Google, the ability to delete notifications that cannot be dismissed is an official new feature of Android 14.
One UI 6 (based on Android 14) is the latest operating system upgrade for Galaxy phones and tablets. The user experience has been significantly improved with many improvements and new features.
Among them, there are changes related to notifications. One UI 6 makes each notification, even those from the same app, appear separately. Additionally, notifications for apps playing music now display album art. You can also sort notifications by time on One UI 6 instead of priority. So you don't have to scroll down to find new notifications anymore.
Additionally, some people may like another change related to notifications. On One UI 6, you can remove the charging notification. Previously, notifications such as do not disturb mode and charging could not be cleared. Unfortunately, unlike charging notifications, do-not-disturb notifications are always present.
According to Google, this is a new feature of Android 14. No matter how the developer sets notifications, you can always dismiss them. Obviously, the new feature doesn't always work as do-not-disturb mode notifications cannot be dismissed on Galaxy devices running Android 14. However, this is still a welcome change.
