According to Mishaal Rahman and Rydah, Samsung is rolling out an update to the NavStar app that adds the ability to hide gesture suggestions on Galaxy phones and tablets running One UI 6.1. So, if you like hiding gesture suggestions to increase usable screen real estate, consider downloading NavStar.

NavStar allows you to hide gesture suggestions on One UI 6.1

There are three ways to navigate around One UI: touch keys, swipe from the bottom, and swipe from the sides and bottom. If you choose the third option, a gesture suggestion will appear at the bottom of the screen. You can swipe up from the bottom edge to go to the Home screen, swipe up, and hold to open the recent apps list. You can now hide gesture suggestions on the Galaxy S24 series running One UI 6.1 using Good Lock's NavStar module. The new update is available for Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1 based on Android 14. Currently, only the Galaxy S24 series runs this version of One UI.

To hide the gesture navigation bar on the Galaxy S24 series running One UI 6.1, open the NavStar module. Then, click on the Swipe Gestures tab at the bottom, toggle NavStar on, and then activate Enable Extra Gesture Settings. Next, you need to open the Settings app and then navigate to Display โ†’ Navigation bar โ†’ More options. Finally, turn off Gesture Suggestions. You can still use all gestures for navigation. Even the versatile Search Zone feature will still work.
