After an initial rollout that began last week in the US and several other markets, the March 2024 security update continues to roll out more widely to Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 users in many parts of the world gender.

It appears to be rolling out to most carrier-locked variants in Europe but will still be available to standard retailers in some countries. The security update for Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 has firmware version A536BXXS8DXC1 and A546BXXS6BXC1 respectively.

It brings the March 2024 security patch, which fixes 44 security vulnerabilities present in the previous firmware. And that's all this latest update has to offer. To check and download, you can go to Settings app > Software Update > Download and install.

The good news for those who own these two devices is that the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 will likely receive the One UI 6.1 update in the next few weeks. However, the new version of One UI for mid-range phones will not include any of the AI features of the Galaxy S24. However, both phones are eligible to receive Android 15 and One UI 7 updates due in the second half of this year.
