Galaxy S21 FE is the first Samsung Fan Edition phone to receive the November 2024 security update. The update has now arrived in many European countries.

Galaxy S21 FE in Europe receives the November 2024 security update

A new software update is rolling out for the Galaxy S21 FE (SM-G990B) in European countries, including Germany. The update has the baseband version G990BXXSBGXJ3 and the download size is around 357MB.

There are over 50 security vulnerabilities patched this time. There are no new features or performance improvements. While the Auto-Block feature of many other Galaxy phones has been improved, the Galaxy S21 FE has not.

If you own a Galaxy S21 FE and live in Europe, you can manually check if your device has received the update by navigating to Settings โ†’ Software update โ†’ Download and install.

The Galaxy S21 FE runs Android 12 out of the box. It has already received two major OS updates (Android 13 and Android 14) and will receive two more major OS updates (Android 15 and Android 16) in the future. Android 15 (One UI 7.0) could arrive on the Galaxy S21 FE early next year.
