One UI 6.0 contains many useful new features. However, Samsung has broken the image burn-in prevention feature, which is very important for OLED screens. Samsung promises to fix this error. The company seems to have kept its promise with the One UI 6.1 update.
The feature to prevent burn-in on OLED screens has been restored to older Galaxy phone models
A few days ago, Samsung released One UI 6.1 for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series. In addition to Galaxy AI, animations are also improved. Besides, the anti-image retention feature on the OLED screen has been restored.
Toranji's folks tested One UI 6.1 and found the screen burn-in feature worked properly. As you can see in the GIF above, the UI elements in the status bar shift slightly after a few minutes on the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Because this feature has only been tested on the Galaxy S23 series, it is still unclear whether the error on the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series will be fixed or not. Anyway, there is no reason for Samsung to favor the Galaxy S23 series.
