A new update has arrived for the 2021 Galaxy Z foldable phones. Devices in some South American markets will receive the October security update first.

To download the latest update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, navigate to the Settings app โ†’ Software update โ†’ Download and install.

With the October 2024 security update, 30 vulnerabilities affecting all Android devices and 12 vulnerabilities affecting only Samsung devices are patched. Since the Galaxy Z series uses Snapdragon regardless of market, they are not affected by a high-risk vulnerability in certain Exynos processors.

There are no other changes in this update, after all, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 just received One UI 6.1.1 a few weeks ago and One UI 7.0 won't be released until next year. The One UI Beta program will be held later this year. However, there is no guarantee that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be on the list of participating phones.
