Samsung is rolling out the stable version of One UI 6.0 (based on Android 14) for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Samsung surprised Galaxy S22 series owners running One UI 6.0 beta with the stable version of One UI 6.0 (Android 14) released on November 16. Recently, the update has arrived on the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra running Android 13, starting with the European region.
As always, Samsung rolls out the update in stages. So, One UI 6.0 for the Galaxy S22 series will not be available in every country on day one. It will take Samsung a few weeks to bring One UI 6.0 to all Galaxy S22 series owners around the world.
The new update has baseband version S908BXXUDWK4 and weighs around 3.1 GB. The November 2023 security patch is also included.
If you have a Galaxy S22 series phone and live in Europe, you should check to see if the new update has reached your device. Just go to the Settings app, select Software Update, and Download and Install.
This is the second Android OS update for the Galaxy S22. The series will ship with Android 12 in early 2022. The Galaxy S22 series was upgraded to Android 13 late last year.
Samsung has promised to release four Android OS updates for the Galaxy S22 series. So, going forward, the product will receive Android 15 at the end of 2024 and Android 16 at the end of 2025.
One UI 6.0 based on Android 14 brings several new features and designs. Improved native apps. The quick settings panel has a completely new design. Better notification interface. The media player in the Notification Panel area has been reworked. In addition, there are new fonts and emojis.
