Samsung has just released a new update for the Galaxy S21 series. However, One UI 6.1.1 is not part of this update. Instead, it is just a regular September 2024 security update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Are the Galaxy S21 series eligible for One UI 6.1.1? Since they only get a single Galaxy AI feature with One UI 6.1, I think the answer is no. While One UI 6.1.1 has many non-AI-related improvements, Samsung may decide to bring them to the Galaxy S21 series with One UI 7.0 based on Android 15.

Currently, the only products confirmed to be eligible for One UI 6.1.1 are the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series models launched in 2022 or later. Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S9 tablets are also eligible.

One UI 6.1.1 is currently rolling out to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S23 series (including Galaxy S23 FE), Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Tab S9 series.

The September security update for the Galaxy S21 series is now available for download in Europe with baseband version G99xBXXSCGXH7. Other regions will also receive the update in the coming days. You can update your device manually by going to Settings โ†’ Software update โ†’ Download and install.
