Despite being busy announcing dozens of new products at CES 2025, Samsung is not slowing down the rollout of software updates for its Galaxy devices.

The company has released a new update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra variants sold in Asia and Africa, which are model numbers SM-S901E, SM-S906E, and SM-S908E.

The new firmware update includes the December 2024 security patches. The new baseband versions of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra are S901EXXSBEXL2, S906EXXSBEXL2, and S908EXXSBEXL2, respectively.

You can update your Galaxy S22 series device by opening the Settings app, scrolling down to Software update, and finally tapping Download and install.

Samsung has previously released a similar update for the Galaxy S22 series variants it sells in Europe and carrier-locked variants in the US. The company will soon roll out the update to other variants.
