Samsung is in the process of delivering the February 2024 security update for its smartphone devices. Recently, the company released the latest security update for the Galaxy A71 5G.

Galaxy A71 5G receives February 2024 security update

The new security update for the Galaxy A71 5G comes with firmware A716BXXS9FXA1 and is now available in Saudi Arabia and UAE. It may soon appear in other countries and markets in the next few days. The new update only contains security patches that fix 72 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the software, so it has a relatively small download size. It only helps fix security vulnerabilities and will not provide any new features or performance improvements to the device.

If you own a Galaxy A71 5G phone and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for and download the update by going to the Settings app > Software Update > Download and installation.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A71 5G in early 2021 and it came with Android 11 pre-installed. The phone received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. However, the device must not receive the One UI 6.0 update based on Android 14.
