Last week, Samsung announced that some Galaxy A phones and Fan Edition tablets will soon be able to experience some AI features. Now, the company has started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, allowing these mid-range devices to have a “Search Zone” like on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

In a post on its official page, Samsung said that Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 users can now download and install the new update. After updating the software, the devices can use the “Search Zone” feature, allowing them to search on Google with just a simple operation.

A user on Reddit also confirmed that he received the update on his Galaxy A55. It is codenamed A556EXXU4AXH1 weighs nearly 850MB, and comes with the September 2024 security patch.

With the “Search Area” feature, users can hold down the home navigation button or the gesture bar at the bottom of the screen to activate it, then tap on the object or circle around the object to be searched for, and the results will be displayed quickly.

In addition, the new update also brings back the screen vividness adjustment slider on the Galaxy A55. Previously, the company removed this slider on the Galaxy S24 with the One UI 6.1 update but received mixed reviews. Bringing this slider back allows Galaxy A55 users to adjust the screen saturation according to their preferences.

If you are using the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, check for the update by going to Settings > Software update > Download and update.
