Galaxy Z Fold5 is Samsung's most advanced folding screen smartphone at the present time. Besides the unique folding design, this phone also carries extremely high-end hardware, not inferior to any competitor on the market.

Recently, Zack Wilson of the YouTube channel JerryRig Everything conducted a "dissection" video of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and thanks to that, we get a close look at the arrangement of components inside this phone.

Galaxy Z Fold5 belly surgery

Nelson said that the Galaxy Z Fold5 is quite difficult to disassemble and this is quite understandable because the device has a unique folding screen. He also noted that replacing the screen can be done easily but at the cost of permanently damaging the existing screen.

A new shock-absorbing dispersion layer sits underneath the Z Fold5's folding screen

After the screen is removed, Zack shows us the S Pen's yellow digitizer. Vertical lines on the digitizer can "feel" the copper coil at the tip of the S Pen allowing users to draw accurately on the screen. Interestingly, the Z Fold5 comes with a new shock-absorbing dispersion, which is essentially a black sponge with circular cutouts.

Galaxy Z Fold5 uses a pull-tab battery

Additionally, when removing the wireless charging pad, you will see a blue Samsung pull tab on one of the two batteries. This design will make replacing the phone battery easier. The Z Fold5's Flex hinge is divided into three parts, the upper, middle, and lower segments. Zack explains that the flex resistance provided by the hinge is thanks to four springs that "compress and clamp as the rest of the hinge moves closed."
