The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are the best Android phones you can buy right now. They have strong performance, long battery life, state-of-the-art camera systems, etc. However, nothing is perfect, and the Galaxy S24 series is no exception.

In other words, the Galaxy S24 series has many aspects that Samsung can improve. Here are five things I'd like to see Samsung do in 2025.

A new design for 2025

The design of the Galaxy S series remains largely unchanged from 2022 when the Galaxy S22 series was introduced. Not only that, some people also argue that the design of the Galaxy S22 series is not much different from its predecessor. It's true that Samsung regularly improves the ergonomics of its products. The company even uses titanium to make the chassis for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, the overall design of the three phone models remains unchanged.

I know that creating a new design is not easy at this time, but it would still be great if Samsung changed the appearance of the successor generation to differentiate the product from the old generation. The current design of the Galaxy S series looks minimalist, but it's getting boring as it's been around for so many years in a row.

Apply anti-glare coating to the screens on all three phone models

If you experience the Galaxy S24 Ultra, you will realize how easy it is to use the device outside, even in direct sunlight. Thanks to the new anti-glare coating, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is very suitable for those who often use their phone in environments with lots of light, including outdoors and offices with many lights.

I didn't realize how much I needed the anti-glare screen coating until I tried it. Now, I'd love to see anti-glare coating applied throughout the Galaxy S25 series. Other phone companies should also learn from Samsung on this point and bring anti-glare coating to their products.

Currently, if you want to reduce the reflection level of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ screens, you have to spend 690,000 VND to buy a genuine Anti-Glare Screen Protector from Samsung.

Use only one processor

โ€œWill I get an Exynos processor developed by Samsung or a better Snapdragon from Qualcomm?โ€ is a question that often appears in many people's minds when choosing to buy the Galaxy S series. Vietnam is not lucky enough to always receive Snapdragon running units.

Samsung has poured billions of dollars into R&D. There's nothing wrong with a company wanting to create its own processor. Additionally, unlike the Galaxy S22 series, recent reports even suggest that the Exynos-powered Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ are not too far behind the Snapdragon-powered units.

However, Qualcomm is still ahead. Their processor is still more powerful and energy efficient. Although Samsung will have to spend more money when using Qualcomm products, users will benefit by owning a better product. So, I would like to see Samsung use Qualcomm processors on all three phones in the Galaxy S25 series, similar to what they did with the Galaxy S23 series.

Improved camera system

Samsung makes some of the best camera phones in the industry. While the Galaxy S24 series received a few camera improvements, overall nothing much has changed.

Most of the camera sensors on the Galaxy S24 series have appeared on the Galaxy S23 series. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, Samsung still hasn't fixed the shutter speed issue that causes moving subjects to appear blurry. Additionally, the resulting images are sometimes blurry, even in daylight conditions. As a result, many people don't have a good look at the Galaxy S24 series, which after all, competitors don't suffer from the same problems.

I'd also like to see the return of the 10x telephoto lens on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The 5x telephoto camera on the Galaxy S24 Ultra works well. However, the 10x optical zoom capability used to make the Galaxy S Ultra series stand out from the crowd because this is a feature that not all high-end products have. Luckily, the telephoto camera quality hasn't changed. Samsung's post-processing process still produces great photos with wide dynamic range and high sharpness.

Finally, I hope Samsung equips the Galaxy S24 Ultra with a 1" camera sensor to be on par with some other competitors like Xiaomi.

Faster charging speed

When it comes to charging speed, Samsung's Galaxy S series lags far behind many of its competitors. Brands like OnePlus, OPPO, and even Motorola have equipped their products with 68W or faster wired charging, allowing you to fully charge your phone in under an hour. While Samsung has improved charging speed, with 65% battery in 30 minutes, that is still not enough.

Other manufacturers have proven that their fast-charging solutions do not damage the battery. Xiaomi has shown us that its 120W wired charging solution only loses 20% of battery life after 800 charging cycles, equivalent to about two years with normal use. This is the industry standard today. Samsung's charging technology provides similar battery life while being much slower.

There is no reason for Samsung not to improve charging speed other than to save costs. It's time we demand something better. Additionally, I'd like to see the new Qi2 wireless charging standard appear on the Galaxy S24 series. While not super fast, Qi2 will make wireless charging much more convenient, which has always been the main advantage of wireless charging.

Conclusion

Samsung has proven that it doesn't need to constantly change to maintain its number one position in the Android world. Even so, I still hope the Galaxy S25 series will have some technological leaps forward. For now, to have an enjoyable mobile experience, we may have to continue to stick with the Galaxy Z Fold series. Even so, they haven't made many big leaps recently.
